Camping

For this project we got to work with illustrator Art Mawhinney. We were given different story concepts with different character prompts targeted for a different audience. I chose to go with a fantasy universe that had Monsters Inc. meets Dr. Seuss inspired characters targeted towards preschoolers. The characters had to be placed in the foreground, midground, and background.

One of the character’s descriptions was that he is an explorer so I decided to go with a camping scene. Because it’s set in a fantasy universe, I wanted to make a forest of asparagus with broccoli bushes because I was trying to think of what a child doesn’t like and most gets don’t like vegetables, especially asparagus.
